The Fletcher Ledger Announces New Management Team

Despite the continuing cold weather and incessant snow storms, Spring is upon us.  The season comes with many rituals, including graduation ceremonies and the time-honored cleaning and reorganization.  In compliance with these rituals, most of us on the current management team will soon be walking down an aisle in a cap and gown and heading off to our next sojourn in life.  We will also be handing the reins of this publication to the next generation of diplomat-journalists.

The Fletcher Ledger, the brainchild of a few Fletcherites that are no longer with us (see Todd Neff's article on Life After Fletcher), is now completing its second year of publication.  In these two years, we have published 23 issues.  Our stories have filled the broad spectrum of intellectual and emotional interests of the Fletcher community.  We have covered the visits of great leaders and academics, including Bill Bradley, Amartya Sen and Colin Powell.  We have provided a venue for students to share their intellect and interests with the Fletcher community and have even made a few people laugh.

The production of this publication is truly a labor of love, one whose hard work is compensated not through remuneration, but through the constant praise from the community we serve.  The outgoing management of the Fletcher Ledger would like to thank the Fletcher community for its support over the last year and to wish the incoming management staff the best of luck.

With no further ado, the new management team of the Fletcher Ledger is as follows.  Salo Coslovsky (Editor-in-Chief), Akshay Madhavan (Managing Editor), Susan Banki (Publisher), Assaf Moghadam (Web Master), Toshi Yoshihara (Commentary Editor), Peter Meier (News Editor), Françoise Do (Features Editor), Lisa Karanja (Role of Farce Editor).

We would like to thank all of those who have made this publication possible over the last year: Cindy Restrepo, Fran Parisi and Jay Herlihy, for their help in the management and administration of the publication, the student council and administration for their continued financial support, the advertisers (in particular PJ Ryan's) and most importantly, the students, faculty, alumni and military fellows that have volunteered to write, edit and do web work for the Ledger.  This publication would not be possible without their continuous efforts and creativity.  We look forward to seeing the results of future generations' continuing work.
