Tune in to WMFO 91.5 FM! |
Born of a desire to see Fletcher expand its communication to both the
campus community and the surrounding area, "World In Focus", a radio show
combining international news and discourse, will be a source you can count on for the
latest "scoop" around the world. "World
in Focus" finds its inspiration from radio initiatives in various regions around
the world: from the voices emanating from Tanzanian refugee camps, to rebel enclaves
linked to shortwave posts in East Timor, to rural villages in El Salvador. Radio continues to keep people in touch with the
world around them and has proved to empower people with needed information.
Radio is a tool that is far from passé, despite our overwhelming
dependence on television and internet. In
the hopes that Fletcher can expand its communication base and in the spirit of the
"Information Age", Sister Salsa and Mambo Mama invite you to help promote,
contribute your ideas, and tune in faithfully to WMFO, 91.5 FM.
